Thanksgiving, what a time to see family that live elsewhere. It makes me think of all the things I'm so thankful for. Sometimes i feel like i can't give enough thanks. So I think of anything around me and thanks will be known.

Last Tuesday I took my guitar, drummer, bassist and to the open mic I went. I saw an old friend there. I also meet some musicians as well. I was surprised at how easy it was to get up in front of people and play, and that made so much fun I can't describe it. Life is full simple plesures, you just need a good eye for them

busy ?

I get caught up in life + music. I'm also learning new things on my new guitar.
this past Holiday i went to Limerock Park for a car show with BMW's Lamborghini's Ferrari...etc. pretty much every car from the old race cars to new, and new race & production cars of today. I had a ball, but i forgot to bring sunscreen so i got 1st degree burns on my arms and neck. hay, At least i had fun.

New

so over the weekend I went to SamAsh were they sell musical equipment. My drummer was getting new skins for his drums, and my friend and classmate in high school got a new guitar. My bass player and I were getting strings for our guitars. My guitar is still working, but it 's wearing out. so i brought my guitar in the store and asked if they still carried it, turns out they don't even make it any more. So a little discouraged i went. Two days later i went to change my strings and i couldn't find them any where.
I asked my mom if she had seen them and she put a brand new guitar for an early b-day.
i am ssssssoooooooooooo!!! happy i played it till 3 a.m last night. I hope my other guitar doesn't get jealous.

I saw 5 shooting stars tonight within 10 minutes. so I got all exited and thought i want more. a half an hour went past and nothing. darn it i want to see more.

I don't know where i would be today if i didn't have the love of music. I'm so glad i have a musical ear and can play the guitar. I have used the same 6 notes for 8 years and i still come up with more music. Everyday has something new to offer, that's one thing, of many, that I love about life. I like how there are infinity possibilities in this world. Music is life, always changing.

Fam

My brother and sister came to visit for the last week. I was so happy to see them, especially since my bro brought his almost one year old daughter Ziana i think that's how she spell it. She is the sweetest thing I ever did see, such personality. They came from New Mexico. My sister came out from Colorado with her boyfriend who plays music and is a lot of fun to jam with.
They came out hear for my step-brothers wedding to his girlfriend of 10 years. I Just love seeing family and friends i haven't seen in ages. I ran into an old friend of mine I hope she calls me lol....!! no really.

i wish i would meet that "special someone", so i could have the opportunity to try the hole serious relationship thing. I see so many relationships fail. I will make a good boyfriend for some girl someday.

Jam Session V

Here is a continuation of Jam session IV.

ya hoooooo

A day of my life, When I wake up I turn on the TV usually around 9 a.m. and i drink a Vitamin C drink. Then the nurse arrives to give my mom a break. She helps me eat breakfast and take a bath, then dresses me for the day. By then it's 11:30 and i take a nap till about 2 at the latest. I have a helper that gets me out of bed and i go out to look at all the flowers until my lunch is ready. Usually i start calling friends or they call me. I also line up the band for practice, that time depends on what day it is. until that happens a different combination of come to jam or to visit. Around 11 p.m things slow down then. if there is anything happening like at someone Elise's house and it's nice out i may go out if not i get in to bed and try to post on my blog if I'm not tired. keep in mind this an extremely condensed version. Only the good people really understand how much work i put in to getting up to socialize. 2 things i think about when i wake are music and friends and to keep my head up. Life Rocks !!!

we can communicate better than ever before. the music that comes out of us is sweet yet in your face. we start the music in 3rd gear. then we jump to 5Th, which leaves 6Th for the end.

so funk

It's an amazing thing playing in a band with people that are at nearly the same level, i mean the 4 of us have played together the longest out of anyone else that i play with. The feeling i get when i play with those 4 is care-free. It's like I'm not trying. We communicate when we play.

Track Day

Last Monday I went to Limerock Park to see the Rolex Sports car challenge. It was a good day weather wise for racing. We always go through the paddock area which is just on the other side of the pit wall. It's so much fun seeing and hearing all the race cars, and being able to be right next to cars when they fire up the engine. Later on i went to the Town Fair Tier tent where there were two cute Ladies were giving a survey I don't remember what for. yep a good day

Jon P. My friends and I have been coming up with material this passed week and made a video tonight. that's the first time i had the original roadhousefunk. There was a student learning from us, that's Jon P. Chris had his back to the camera, I don't know why, he is lead guitar. kevin is on bass, and Dan on drums. His girlfriend is filming. Yeah ..... I'm there too and i let my soul come out of my guitar, I mean i play rhythm

i have been busy in the studio working with the original roadhousefunk, which is a combo of musical talent like non-other. The twins , Chris on rhythm/lead, Kevin on bass, me on rhythm/lead, Dan on drums. keep in mind I've found others that i play with those are the 1st 3 that i mentioned above .

I have been sick with pneumonia for 2 weeks. All the hard work payed off though.
I kept the fluids flowing and took anti-biotice while eating good home cocking.
yesterday I played my guitar for the first time since i got sick, and i think i got better.
it shows how every battle won makes you stronger. more videos soon. untill then positivity is the best medication. peace.

Fun in The City

On Friday I managed to go to NYC to see Umphrey's Mcgee. They played at the Nokia theater. The show started at 9:00 p.m and ended at 12:00 a.m. some of the music almost brought me to tears. There was so much power and emotion in the music, and the singing. They are good song writers too. I was with 5 of my friends ben, stefin, ryan, monica, gordin, We also went to see another band down the street until 3:30 a.m. Then on the ride home we were going the right way, but when 84 came we went west instead of east.
we eventually go to 84 east. Stopped at Burger king and made it home around 7:30 a.m.
That next day i slept till 5:00 lol..... it was sssooooooooo worth it though. Rock On!

Last night i was on a panel of speakers for alcohol & Kids. It was directed at 8Th grade to the end of high school and beyond, and there parents. I was representing my towns young adults along with 2 8Th graders and 2 Juniors, one named Asia was very nice, but anyway I had a brife time to speek. I talked about selfestem and caring about yourself. also to start a youth center for young adults to have a good environment to go to. The message of this forum was don't drink and don't drink & drive. It is deadly. It efects so meny people in meny ways. do things that make you feel good and that don't involve putting poison into your body, like ride a bick, skate board, play music. Parents, support your kids in positive ways and love them. Well, i'm going to play my guitar now......

good things

Do you know whats good, I do. Friends. A friend that you can call almost any time and talk about anything, and have no fear of being judged. When i talk to my friends it helps me figure out things, like i think about something and can't understand it. when i talk to a good friend it becomes much clearer to me. Its nice to be the friend that they call.

Drugs and Kids

It's terrible that kids don't appear to have guidance, like respect for yourself and everyone around you. I don't know where it's coming from; I don't know where it starts or begins. I have two cousins that took drugs that brought their lives to an end. They were such good hearted kids, they were always trying to help me. They helped me get out into the woods because we loved nature. It was tough because I'm in a wheelchair, they would cut down little trees and move logs, then I would drive my wheelchair out there. We could go into the woods because we lived close. I think this was about 11 years ago.

They started getting angry; I don't know what they were angry at. Then they started getting in trouble with the police; that's when I started separating myself from them. I didn't want to shut them out because I felt like they needed someone to talk to. I wondered what was the meaning of the drugs.

If I knew then, what I know now, I would say something, not only to them, but to their parents. I guess that's what I'm trying to say. If you know someone who is doing drugs, talk to them.

I wonder if they really saw me when they visited me. They'd say I was an inspiration, but when they left my house, they were self destructing. I wonder if they were just telling me stuff to convince everyone around them including themselves that they weren't doing drugs.

sum thoughts

I love some girl, and asked her to go out with me. So she said lets just be friends. so i try to forget the feelings of love i had and be a good friend. you can have love for a friend. you have to be accepting of people in life. learning how to admit when your wrong. i still love her though. lol. Respect one and all.

Jam Session 1

Every night people come to my house to jam, improvise and just hang out. Road House Funk has a rotating membership, I'm the floating band master! If you can play, you're part of the band. This video is with Stephen, Ben, and me. Our first video jam session, hope you enjoy.

The beginning

I started with the drums in 4Th grade. I loved music and rhythm was my thing so I played drums in the school band until 12Th grade. On the side I was experimenting on a drum set. During the last 2 years of high school I couldn't play the set any more so I picked up the guitar. then I started to influence people to play music. We decided to make it an everyday thing. 8 years later we i.e., the musicians everywhere in town play with me.

what do i have

When I turned 18 my doctor said the test they used to diagnose my muscular dystrophy(dushens ,unsure of spelling,) is the type i have, was 40% accurate. That was 10 years ago, but now they have a way to look the genetic makeup and is 99.9%. When i herd that i thought, they don't know what i have . So i went to have blood drawn to have this test done.
One month later they called, inconclusive, so i did it again same thing, inconclusive. So i don't know what i have, but then i thought, I have life, friends that care, family, and music. Yeah cars too.

M coupe

that is my favorite car. I play GT4 a racing simulation video game and i drive it on the Nurburgring in Germany[Home Track].

today

My day today was awesome. I met with my old science teacher and come to find out he likes cars. The M coupe is my favorite car. BMW ROCKS!!!
